Courses follow an associate-level scope, with readings, discussions, labs, papers, projects, presentations, problem sets, and exams — not just videos and quizzes. High-school learners can also use this side for Early College / dual-enrollment support.

In accounting and business courses, students work inside a simulated company. A wrong entry makes the books visibly stop balancing; decisions change cash, inventory, payroll, and profit.
Learn4Legacy college-level courses are educational/noncredit unless a specific course is later identified as part of an approved college-credit pathway or partner program.
NextStep should support a homeschool teen who is still earning high-school credit while beginning real college coursework. The system keeps the two records connected without pretending Learn4Legacy issued college credit that actually came from a college.
The learner enrolls in a real college course through that college. Learn4Legacy becomes the support layer around it: prerequisites, placement prep, schedule planning, study support, assignment breakdown, writing/lab practice, reminders, and progress organization.
If a college formally approves a Learn4Legacy-supported course/pathway, the app can show the actual partner, official college course code, high-school credit treatment, college credit, faculty/qualification requirements, dates, and transcript source.
NextStep can bring these roles into one Advisor Center so the family knows who to ask instead of being bounced around.
Checks eligibility, application steps, deadlines, placement requirements, registration, and the college’s Early College rules.
Does not decide your homeschool graduation requirements.Maps the learner’s high-school graduation plan and decides how outside college work fits the homeschool transcript or diploma plan.
Does not award the college credit.Helps with placement, prerequisites, course load, degree direction, and how courses fit the college program.
Does not replace the course professor.Checks how completed college courses may apply toward a future degree or transfer destination before the learner stacks random credits.
Cannot guarantee another institution will accept every course.Teaches the official college course, evaluates college-level work, and assigns the grade when the learner is enrolled through the college.
A Learn4Legacy mentor is not automatically the college professor.Helps the learner understand assignments, study, plan, revise, practice, and stay on track across high school and college work.
Support role unless a partner college separately authorizes a formal instructional role.Founding courses, a full general-education catalog, real work types, virtual labs, mentor tooling, a Learn4Legacy academic record, CLEP bridges, and a clear partner-credit architecture.
Build the systems that make college work: time, research, study, communication, money, and career direction.
Choose the weekly study time you can protect, then the course maps it into smaller repeatable blocks.
Capture the routines that make every later class easier: time planning, assignment reading, communication, source checking, and exam preparation.
Do not copy the whole lesson. Capture the rule, vocabulary, model, example, warning, or procedure that is most likely to matter on a test or in the real class/program.
Highlight: due date • estimated time • next action
Highlight: what must be submitted and how it will be graded
Highlight: retrieval and correction, not rereading only
Highlight: specific question + evidence of what you tried
Practice mode teaches from mistakes. Final/Mastery mode removes the coaching and checks whether the learner can retrieve and apply the material independently.
Miss a question and Learn4Legacy points back to the exact notebook section to review before retrying.
Questions should require recall, application, evidence, calculation, or judgment — not just copying wording from the lesson.
